Priya Prakash Royal

Ms. Royal joined the firm in 2007 as an associate after graduating from Villanova University School of Law and achieving her Juris Doctor and Masters of Law in Taxation. She is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Ms. Royal served as a law extern to the Hon. John T.J. Kelly, Superior Court of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia. She was a legal intern in the Office of the Attorney General of New Jersey in the Department of Treasury. Ms. Royal was previously employed as a law clerk with Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP, in Philadelphia from 2005 through 2006.

At Villanova University School of Law, Ms. Royal was a research assistant and a participant in the Villanova Law Clinical Program, "Lawyering Together," in which she assisted a new charter school for immigrant students in Philadelphia obtain tax-exempt status. Ms. Royal was a member of the Asian Pacific Islander Law Student Association (APALSA), the Corporate Law Society, Phi Delta Phi, and the Tax Society. She was a presenter and panelist at the Benjamin Franklin American Inn of Court in 2005 and 2006. She was the symposium editor for the Women's Law Forum in 2004 through 2006. Ms. Royal received the Dorothy Day Award for Pro Bono Service.

Ms. Royal was a media, administrative, and editorial assistant at the Robert B. Davis Institute for Learning and staff reporter for The Daily Targum at Rutgers University. She was a member of the National Scholars Honor Society and was awarded Departmental Honors in Political Science and Journalism.

Ms. Royal was born in New Delhi and resided in Mumbai, India, before emigrating to the United States in 1993. She speaks Hindi, Tamil, Spanish, and French. She volunteered her services as a translator for clients at Villanova's legal clinic from 2003 through 2006.
