$1M Condemnation Verdict
State v. DeAntonio: A Hudson County jury awarded $1 million on June 24 to the owner of a Jersey City auto repair and towing service whose property the state took for expansion of Routes 1-9. Housing Authority of the City of Newark v. Aguayo Real Estate Company LLC: The owner of a Newark factory accepted $1.97 million on Aug. 10 to settle a condemnation suit by Newark's Housing Authority.
